Dr. Kuba and our team traveled to Las Vegas, NV on March 3-5, 2016 to attend the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology’s (adsahome.org) annual conference on sedation. The courses we attended were taught by experts in the field and covered all areas of pediatric anesthesia and sedation. We each learned valuable knowledge and insight from the seminars, and we’re super excited to bring this knowledge back home to our patients!
What did you like best about the course?
Dr. Kuba: “Great course! It was an excellent review of pediatric physiology and a great confirmation that our office protocols are up to date.”
Anne, RDA: “The course enhanced my knowledge about sedation. I feel even more confident with being able to explain the safety and precautions we take when we sedate our patients.”
Laura, RDA: “I learned more tips on making my patients more comfortable.”
Renee, RDH: “I liked the review of pharmacology and managing my pediatric patients. It brought together why we take vitals and why we modify certain things based on each child’s needs.”
Rocio, RDH: “As a hygienist, we are not involved in any of the sedation appointments, so I enjoyed learning about what all is involved with the appointments and all the steps in keeping the appointments safe. I also enjoyed spending time with the girls outside of the office!”
In addition to our time in the classroom, we were able to spend time sight-seeing on the famous Las Vegas strip! Between the hotels, the street performers, and the countless restaurants, we had an absolutely fabulous time!
What did you like best about the trip to Las Vegas?
Marisa, RDA: “I enjoyed my first trip out of Texas! I enjoyed the overall experience!”
Lauren, RDA: “I enjoyed walking down the Vegas strip and seeing all the lights and activity.”
Christina, RDA: “The bright lights and energy of the city were amazing! There’s never a dull moment in Vegas!”
